Microgenics Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Multivitamin is a complete 1 a day formula that contains 20 key nutrients to support your additional nutritional requirements during preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. The capsules are enterically coated so they are gentle on the stomach in case you are suffering from nausea. The formula also contains Fish Oil that provides essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids including DHA.
There is an increased need for Folic acid during pregnancy and importantly it may reduce the risk of having a child with neural tube defects / Spina Bifida if taken daily for a month prior to conception and during pregnancy. Adequate ioding during pregnancy is beneficial for the normal growth and development of your baby's brain.
Vitamin B3 is beneficial for your digestive system and helps support your increased energy requirements. Vitamin B6 helps relieve the intensity of nausea during pregnancy. It also assists in the formation of several neurotransmitters and is an essential nutrient for the regulation of mental processes and possibly mood. This formula also contains zinc to help support your immune system.
